Minipanels
An innovative aspect of the NKPS is the use of so-called mini
panels, to supplement the data collected in the large-scale survey. Mini panels
are small, qualitative studies, which – like the large-scale survey –
have a panel structure in that they are repeated over time.
Here is an overview of the mini panels:
- Division of household tasks and the arrival of the first child (Wiesman,
UU)
- Ethnicity, gender, and intergenerational solidarity (Schans, UU)
- Non-standaard work hours (Mills, RUG)
- Migrants in the family (Verkuyten, UU)
- Black sheep in the family (Komter, UU)
- Low practical solidarity vis-à-vis aging parents (Stuifbergen, UU)
- Deciding to have a first child (Rijken, UU)
- Work-care arrangements of co-resident and non co-resident couples (Knijn,
UU)
- Housing arrangements of divorced parents and their children (Karsten, UvA)
- The retreat from marriage (Mills, RUG)
- Living Apart Together (LAT) relationships: Antecedents and consequences
(Gierveld, NIDI)
- Lonely but not alone: Measuring loneliness in migrant samples (De Valk,
NIDI)
